Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data GonBots processes, how it is used, who it is shared with and the choices you have. If this English version differs from the Spanish one, the Spanish version prevails.

1. Who is responsible
GonBots is a game developed and operated by GonPlus, based in Santiago, Chile ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the data described here. For any privacy question, email us at contacto@gonplus.cl.
This policy applies to the GonBots app and to the online services that run it (account, progress, matches, purchases and artificial intelligence features).
2. Data we process
| Category | What it includes | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Username, email address, password (stored only as a hash), language, friend code, your Gonbot's name, and the record that you accepted the terms, privacy policy and acceptable use policy (version and date) and confirmed you are 16 or older. | You, when you sign up or edit your profile. |
| Progress and matches | Level and experience, cards, decks, chips, skins, coins and virtual items, missions, progress in Story, Expeditions and tournaments, PvP and ranked matches, streaks and backups of your progress. | The app, while you play. |
| Battle statistics | A summary of each battle: mode, result, health points, damage, turns, cards and chips used, opponent and app version (we keep at most your last 400 battles). | The app, automatically at the end of each battle. |
| Social | Friends, requests, blocks and co-op invitations. Other players can see your username, your Gonbot's name and skin, your friend code, when you were last online and your leaderboard position. | You and the app. |
| Purchases and subscriptions | Your plan, start and expiry dates, renewal status and a record of each transaction (product, transaction identifiers, date, price, currency and store). They are linked to your internal user number, not to your email. We never receive your card or payment details. | Apple or Google, through RevenueCat. |
| Artificial intelligence (only with your consent) | The messages you write to your Gonbot; your voice audio if you use the microphone (up to 30 seconds per message); your Gonbot's memory (conversation summaries, topics, emotions, highlights and your answers to optional questions such as your city or country, whether you study or work, your hobbies or tastes); messages you report; and usage counters. | You, when you use chat or voice. |
| Technical data | IP address, user agent and app version in server logs; connection data for real-time matches. The Unity engine may send anonymous technical statistics about the device (model, operating system, hardware). We do not use your device's advertising ID or track you across other apps or websites. | Your device, automatically. |
| Support | Emails you send us and requests made through the account deletion form. | You. |
We do not ask for or process your location, contacts, photos or card details. We do not sell your data or use it for personalized advertising, and GonBots shows no third-party ads.
3. How we use your data
- To provide the game (performance of the contract you accept when signing up): create and protect your account, save your progress, match you with other players, and run friends, tournaments, rewards and virtual currency.
- Purchases and subscriptions: validate purchases with Apple or Google and grant the corresponding benefits.
- AI features (only with your consent): generate your Gonbot's chat and voice replies.
- Security and fair play (legitimate interest): prevent fraud, cheating, abuse and unauthorized access.
- Improving and balancing the game (legitimate interest): analyze match statistics to tune cards and difficulty and fix bugs.
- Legal obligations: accounting, tax or requests from authorities.
- Support: answer the questions you send us.
4. Artificial intelligence (chat and voice)
- It is optional and requires your consent. Before you first use your Gonbot's chat or voice, the app asks you to accept it explicitly. If you decline, you can keep playing everything else.
- What is sent. Your messages, the context needed to reply (for example your Gonbot's memory and game data) and, if you use voice, your audio are sent through our server to OpenAI (United States) to generate the reply, transcribe your voice, turn the reply into speech and filter inappropriate content. We do not send OpenAI your email or your username as an identifier.
- Microphone. The app only uses the microphone while you hold the talk button, and only if you granted permission on your device. Voice is available on the Voice plan.
- What we store. We do not store the full text of your messages or your voice recordings on our servers. The generated reply is kept encrypted for about 10 minutes so a failed delivery can be retried, and is then deleted. We do store your Gonbot's memory (summaries and things you shared) so it remembers your conversations.
- OpenAI. According to its published API policies, OpenAI does not use this data to train its models and may keep it for a limited period (up to 30 days) to detect abuse.
- Your control. You can erase your Gonbot's memory at any time with the "Clear memories" option on the conversation screen. To withdraw your consent, stop using the chat and email us at contacto@gonplus.cl: we will disable it and erase the related memory.
- Do not share sensitive data (health, finances, passwords, ID documents) about yourself or others in the chat.
5. Who we share data with
We only share data with providers that help us run GonBots, to the extent necessary and under their own data protection terms:
| Provider | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Azure (Microsoft) | Hosting of our server and database (Canada region). | Account, progress, purchase, Gonbot memory data and technical logs. |
| OpenAI (United States) | Chat, speech transcription, synthetic voice and content moderation. Only with your consent. | Messages, audio and conversation context. |
| RevenueCat (United States) | Subscription management and verification. | Internal user number, purchases and subscription status. |
| Apple and Google | App distribution and in-app payment processing (App Store and Google Play). | What they process under their own privacy policies; we only receive the purchase result. |
| Photon (Exit Games) | Connecting real-time multiplayer matches. | IP address, internal user number and match data. |
| Unity Technologies | The engine the game is built with. | Anonymous technical device statistics. |
| gonplus.cl email provider | Receiving and answering support emails. | Your email address and what you write to us. |
We may also disclose data when required by law or a competent authority, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the service.
6. International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside Chile (for example in Canada and the United States). By using GonBots, your data may be transferred to those countries. We choose providers that offer contractual and technical data protection safeguards.
7. How long we keep data
- Account, progress, statistics and Gonbot memory: as long as you have the account. If you delete it, they are erased immediately (details in Delete account).
- Purchases: when you delete your account, the record of each transaction is kept unlinked from you (without your user number or the store data) for accounting and to handle refunds and fraud.
- Battle statistics: your last 400 battles; older ones are deleted automatically.
- AI replies: encrypted for about 10 minutes. Technical records of each request (without content) are deleted after 30 days; usage counters and limits within a few days or at the end of the month.
- Server technical logs (IP, user agent): only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
- Support emails and deletion requests: as long as needed to handle them and show that we did.
- When you delete your account we ask RevenueCat to erase your customer profile. Apple and Google keep their own transaction records according to their legal obligations and policies.
8. Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored hashed and database access is restricted. No system connected to the Internet is completely secure; if we detect an incident affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Minimum age
GonBots is intended for people 16 years of age or older. You must confirm that you meet this age when signing up. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16; if you know of a minor who created an account, email us at contacto@gonplus.cl and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
Under applicable law (including Chilean Law No. 19,628 and, where applicable, laws such as the EU GDPR), you can:
- Access your data and learn how we process it.
- Correct inaccurate data (you can change part of your profile in the app).
- Request deletion of your data and account (see Delete account).
- Object to certain processing or ask us to restrict it.
- Receive a copy of your data in a commonly used format (portability).
- Withdraw your consent to AI features at any time, without affecting the rest of the game or the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise them, email contacto@gonplus.cl from your account's email address. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can file a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will publish the new version on this page with its update date. If the change is significant, we will let you know in the app and, where required, ask you to accept it again.
